Because the August TRAG meeting fell on the day of the ECLIPSE, we focused our attention in that direction for our program! Did you know that during a total eclipse if you let the light shine through a metal colander (one with round holes) ALL of the shadows through the holes will show the image of the progress of the eclipse? TRAG members found that out as they stepped outside to use their real eclipse glasses, their pin-hole paper cameras, and, of course, a colander (courtesy of Susan Sketers)!
